Making a reconstruction process faster.

In-line CT

Inline reconstruction starts instantly after getting the first projection from the CT scanner. This allows running reconstruction and data acquisition processes in parallel. Via appropriate interfaces (supported by SDK), the user program informs the COBRA kernel about sequential availability of projections, synchronizing the reconstruction process with the scanner.

When in-line is reasonable

Since COBRA provides really fast reconstruction, in-line mode is worth an effort when input view number is really big (like 2000 and more)

Cluster solutions

COBRA can be setup on a PC cluster (up to 4 active nodes) when a several computers share reconstruction work.

When a cluster setup is reasonable

An efficient cluster setup can be accomplished but it requires special arrangements for a decent networking hardware and most likely special solutions on input image acquisition side. The most efficient solution may require "cloning" source data which makes input views available locally in every cluster node
